In 2017, I have had the greatest pleasure and honor in representing Japan at the 46th Miss Intercontinental. It was such a life-changing experience for me that I knew I had to be a part of this family and industry. I saw so much potential in what we could do that I wanted to fully immerse myself in this endeavor. Therefore, I along with my trusted team produced the 47th Miss Intercontinental in Manila, Philippines; which continues to hold the record for the most participated event in its 47 years of history. This is how NipponBijin began.
In my experience as both a candidate and producer of an international beauty pageant, there is one thing I have learned which continues to inspire me.
Just like the sun goddess of Japan, Amaterasu, I have seen that in every woman lies the innate power to be the guiding light for many. I see it in their beauty, strength, thoughts and actions. This is and forever will be the grounding and guiding force of NipponBijin. We will continue to give women the opportunity and platform to be powerful creators of positive impact. We believe that this is how we achieve true empowerment.
I cannot wait to see what we will be able to achieve together.
